As PLH Insurance grew their book of local business - retaining
a loyal base of progressive-minded clients - PLH became a
full-time operating insurance agency by the Spring of 2003,
growing tremendously by word of mouth and increased exposure
on the Internet.
While structuring the corporation and honing the company's
message, the principal partners often discussed the state
of the health insurance industry, bemoaning the fact that
the industry had become impersonal and not often compassionate.
At the urging of the principal partners, the Board of Directors
developed a system of principles of customer service to ensure
PLH's service to be professional, personal and compassionate:
Love and Understanding
Patience and Guidance
Clarity and Kindness
Truth and Truthfulness
Health and Happiness
At the urging of their loyal customers, PLH Insurance began
plans to expand nationally, to expand their Good Karma Program
to include more than 50 Good Karma Partners. At the same time,
the Board of Directors voted unanimously in 2004 to develop
the Good Karma Program to include the message that "The
Best Health Insurance is Health" and to use the Good
Karma Program as a means to spread the word of natural health,
natural healing and natural diet - to become "a stepping
stone" toward greater personal health.
It was decided by the principals, board members and investors
in the Fall of 2004 that PLH Insurance would grow to become
Stepping Stone Insurance Services.
